Self-Examination

In the military, in the radio communication unit, we had a network for radio monitoring and a recognition chart. We would monitor and determine which station was foreign and which was ours, because sometimes foreign stations would interfere with ours. Similarly, a person must monitor their own thoughts and actions to see if they align with the Gospel commandments. In doing so, they will identify their mistakes and begin the struggle to correct them. A person cannot progress in the spiritual life if they allow their errors to go unnoticed or if they are unwilling to reflect on their transgressions when someone points them out.
